What is S.C.A & Who Are We?

The Seneca Caribbean Association is a student-led community for Caribbean and West Indian students. We celebrate culture, build connections, and create a space where everyone feels at home on campus.

Building Culture, Connection, and Community

The Seneca Caribbean Association (S.C.A.) is a vibrant student-led community created by and for Caribbean and West Indian students at Seneca Polytechnic. Our mission is to celebrate our culture, foster meaningful connections, and create a welcoming space that feels like home—no matter how far you are from your own.

Whether you’re here to explore your Caribbean roots, meet like-minded students, or simply vibe with the sounds, flavors, and energy of the islands—you’ll find your place here.

Throughout the year, we try our best to bring good vibes and meaningful experiences through events like soca fetes, food tastings, game nights, dance classes, and cultural showcases. Every event is a chance to connect, celebrate, and feel at home.

S.C.A. is more than a club. It’s a family. A space where you can grow, feel seen, and connect with others who understand your story. Whether you're looking to meet new people, celebrate your roots, or just enjoy the good vibes—you belong here.

From your first semester to your final year, we’re here to support you. Whether you’re adjusting to college life, looking to connect with others, or just want a space where your culture is celebrated—you’ll always have a place with us.

We’re about more than events—we’re about friendship, belonging, and building a community that feels like home.

What drives us

Inclusion

We embrace every Caribbean and West Indian identity—whether you're born on the islands or connected through heritage, culture, or passion. S.C.A. is a safe and welcoming space for all students who value diversity, community, and respect.

Community

At S.C.A., we’re more than a club—we’re a family. We build meaningful relationships, support one another, and create a home away from home. Through connection, culture, and shared experience, we grow stronger together.

Ingenuity

We approach everything we do with creativity and passion—from planning events to expressing our culture in new and exciting ways. We honor our traditions while finding fresh, engaging ways to share them with the campus community.
