Join the Indigenous & Social Justice Club at Seneca for a screening of 'Sudan, Remember Us' - a 2024 documentary film written and directed by Hind Meddeb.

The film depicts the aftermath of the Sudanese revolution, which led to the 2019 overthrow of Sudanese leader Omar al-Bashir and the 2021 military coup d’état. Through the eyes of young Sudanese activists in Khartoum, it follows the uprising that ended 35 years of dictatorship, and the devastating military crackdown that followed in June 2019, extinguishing hopes for lasting freedom. The story continues through the outbreak of the Sudanese civil war in April 2023.

📍 Location: SeneCentre
📅 Date: December 5
🕒 Time: 5 PM – 7 PM

Following the screening, join us for an open discussion on the film’s themes and their connections to global struggles for justice, freedom, and human rights.
