The language barrier that Japanese students face when encountering English can create difficult situations. Therefore, support in Japanese can be offered.There are concerns, habits, and sensibilities that may be unique to many students who were born and raised in Japanese culture, and some struggles may arise from the culture shock of living in Canada, amongst people who do not share these customs. In this case, having the opportunity to share time and experiences with other Japanese students may help to alleviate these struggles and provide a sense of community.Primarily, this association aims to support Japanese students by providing information to help them in studying, employment, and day-to-day life. Therefore, we plan on doing regular orientations and meetups for further developing the Japanese student community in Seneca.The association will also strive to support and introduce traditional Japanese culture through possible workshops and seasonal events.
