Word-of-mouth Marketing in our everyday

Word-of-mouth marketing is much more than a marketing tactic that companies may utilize, it is concept even seen in our everyday lives. Let’s talk about it.

We understand that Word-of-mouth marketing is conversations between customers when they share their opinion and personal experience, wether it be a positive or negative experience is where the concept of promoter and demoter customer types comes into this conversation. Customers will inevitably have something to say and will inevitably share that with those around them, similar process to this concept seen in our everyday.

The word-of-mouth marketing concept within our everyday lives correlates with our reputation as we talk about others and others talk about us. Our performance in the work place, in the classroom and more is visible to others. Our actions and core values are on display for people to see leaving as our lasting impression.

There is a strong importance for us to ensure the actions we are taking and values we are projecting to the world align with our personal image of ourselves as this perception, just like that of a company or product, is influenced by such word-of-mouth conversations.

In my life, the way which people have positively talked about specific music artists has influenced my interest in their art, the time that I attempt to like their music, and overall the attention I give them.

To name another area of influence, can you imagine the influence this plays in the job application process? I would love to hear your thoughts.

As a take home from today’s conversation, it is important to recognize how you can use word-of-mouth marketing for good in your daily life as you progress to where you want. Think to yourself about what you want to be spoken about you as it is inevitable.

Thank you and I hope that you enjoyed
